Resumen

La innovación tecnológica constituye un factor decisivo para la competitividad industrial, especialmente en economías emergentes, donde persisten brechas en productividad, inversión en investigación y desarrollo, capital humano, digitalización e institucionalidad. Este artículo propone un modelo teórico-conceptual que tiene como objetivo explicar cómo la innovación tecnológica puede fortalecer la competitividad industrial mediante ocho dimensiones articuladas: adopción tecnológica, digitalización, automatización, investigación y desarrollo, capital humano tecnológico, capacidades dinámicas, innovación verde y entorno institucional. El trabajo se desarrolla como una propuesta conceptual sustentada en literatura especializada sobre innovación, ventaja competitiva, sistemas de innovación, transformación digital, sostenibilidad y capacidades organizacionales. Se plantea que la tecnología no genera competitividad de forma automática; requiere aprendizaje, gestión estratégica, cooperación institucional y capacidad de adaptación. El modelo ofrece una base para futuras investigaciones empíricas en sectores industriales de economías emergentes, permitiendo examinar cómo la integración de estas dimensiones impacta en el desempeño competitivo de las empresas.
