Resumen

La rosácea es una dermatosis crónica centrofacial caracterizada por inflamación, alteraciones vasculares y neurales, con impacto en el microbiota, la barrera cutánea y la calidad de vida de los pacientes. El objetivo de esta revisión fue analizar los factores de riesgo que influyen en la severidad de la rosácea, mediante una revisión de la literatura científica, con el fin de proporcionar información útil para el manejo de la enfermedad y el bienestar de los pacientes. El estudio consistió en una revisión bibliográfica realizada bajo los lineamientos PRISMA, evaluando cada registro según su título, resumen, metodología, resultados y conclusiones. Se extrajeron datos sobre la población estudiada, severidad de la rosácea y factores emocionales, dietéticos y ambientales, aplicando el modelo PICO para sintetizar la evidencia de 21 estudios incluidos. Los resultados indican que la gravedad de la rosácea está influenciada por factores emocionales, dietéticos y ambientales. El estrés, la ansiedad y la depresión intensifican los síntomas; determinados alimentos modulan la inflamación; y la exposición a radiación, temperaturas extremas y contaminación compromete la integridad cutánea. Estos hallazgos resaltan la importancia de un manejo integral y personalizado de la enfermedad.
